Typical Applications for the Electric Mortice Lock
The 500 series Electric Mortice Lock from the Taylor Lock Company is the first electrically controlled security lock that provides managed access to property whilst complying to the requirements of the BS3621:2004 mechanical security standards required by most Insurance Companies for use on final exit doors. Thereby removing the need for magnets and solenoid bolts currently used in Access Control systems. Fitting the Taylor 500 Electric Mortice Lock to the front door of a domestic residence will provide a number of valuable benefits, including;- · Central Locking: Remote unlocking / locking from within the premises or remotely by use of a mobile phone, wireless keyfob or other device connected to the network or internet. · Home Deliveries: The lock enables delivery of online purchases to be accepted whilst absent from home, without compromising security. · Medical / Care: Access for doctors, nurses, health visitors, cleaners and carers allowing remote control from a Central Monitoring station, avoiding unnecessary delays in searching for the keyholder. · Smart Home: Integration with Home Automation systems will add security to the control of lighting, heat, video, sound and multimedia. · Home Security: The lock can be used to automatically set Intruder Alarms panels. · Disabled Access: Remote wireless control enables locks to be used with automatic door openers to allow access for wheel chairs and walking frames. · Office Security: Keyholding can be better controlled, access to the building can be accurately monitored. Positive integration of Security with Building Management and Control systems.
Security / System Integrity: Loss of the power supply will disable the electrical operation of the lock but will not actuate the mechanism or reduce the level of security, manual key control of the lock will not be affected in any way and security will not be compromised.
